What is really crazy is a guy bought a camper and didn’t have hot water and the bypass valve was a qaurter turn but was exactly opposite as should have been valve looked like yours but was qaurter turn but was off? Turned so it looked like t and it let hot water through? Never in 40 yrs seen valve ass backwards like that? Was on a Jaco 24’ pull behind!

In solar arrays, uplift is usually significantly more (See what mph wind limits apply in your area) than the static gravity loads (what is pushing down on that beam). In this case, there will be excessive loads on that bottom beam when it is being pulled up by the wind with more deflection up than down. The pier should be put in concrete AND/OR make sure the beam is nginneried for the 12ft span you have. Also I worry about those screws. Uplift requires certain pull strength (an axial load in addition to a sheer load)

5 years later ~ may I ask if you had any issues with mold on your cushions? I’ve seen folks have problems especially when the foam isn’t able to ‘breathe’ I’ve heard it (the foam) will retain moisture/condensation and cause mold to grow? So I’m wondering if you considered this info and if it even turned out to be an issue for you or maybe did something to prevent this from happening?

Good question, Israel! I can't believe I didn't mention it in there, but there is a synthetic roofing paper between the plywood and the metal. It is recommended. Stand on the wood to hold them in place when nailing the studs to the plates. When you stand the walls up first pull them back some then they won't fall off the edge and just kick the sill plate even with the edge.

Good work on the house! When we bought our condo we slept on camp cots while they installed the porcelain floor. Once the floor was done, the first thing I moved in was our bed. So we have done this a few times. We also did it when we bought our previous home because we owned two homes at the same time and we had a carpenter rebuilding our kitchen in the new home due to termite damage. But we muddled through until we could move in. Sometimes, stuff is tough until progress makes life easy. Thanks for the video!
